About
Yorgos Mavropsaridis graduated from the “Theatrical Workshop’ (Athens-1975) and “The London Film School” (1978). Since 1980 he works as a freelance film editor. His editing work has been awarded in the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Greek State Awards for the feature films ‘Enchantress’ (1984) and ‘A Touch of Spice” (2003), from the Hellenic Film Academy for ‘Dogtooth” (2009) and ‘Enemy Within” (2013) and from the Antalya film festival and the Turkish State award for the the editing of ‘Sivas’ (2014). He collaborated with Athena Xenidou in 2020 when she directed Saving the World , a song by Monika and lyrics by Stavros Xenides. A song which accompanied the lighting ceremony of the Ancient Panathenaic Stadium in Athens in 2021.
