Cinematographer of Little England, Hellenic Film Academy Award Winner 2014

Simos Sarketzis was born in 1975 in Cologne, Germany. His training included being in the cinematography department for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life (2003) and Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001)

He is known for his work on Smyrna (2021) Little England (2013), Winona (2020 Hellenic Film Academy Nominee for Best Cinematography) The Last Note (2018 Hellenic Film Academy Nominee for Best Cinematography) Thread (2017 Hellenic Film Academy Nominee for Best Cinematography)and Psyhi vathia (2009 Hellenic Film Academy Nominee for Best Cinematography.)

In 2014, Simos won the Hellenic Film Academy Award for Little England.
